What to Look for to Find Good Online Poker Rooms

Read this article if You are looking for good online poker rooms. It will show You what exactly makes up a good online poker room and how to find one. I will discuss all the aspects You should look for before You decide to join online poker rooms.
First of I want to give You a list of things to consider when choosing a poker room. Some might be very obvious to You while others won’t. So let’s get started.
The most important thing in my opinion is the poker client or poker software the room uses. There are many different poker softwares on there on the net. Some are used by many poker rooms, like the microgaming or the boss media client. Other poker rooms have developed their own software.
As important as the software is the reputation of the poker room. You will not want to play at sites that are not fully secure or where You encounter problems when trying to cash out Your money.
Third thing is customer support. You should check this out before signing up, just by contacting the room and see how long You will have to wait for a response.
Fourth important point is the quantity of games offered and how many players are online, as well as the quality of Your opponents.
Now let’s get back to the poker software. If You play poker a lot then You will use it for many hours. So if the look and feel of the client doesn’t appeal to You then You will not enjoy the game as much as You should. It is also important that the software supports all features that You as a player needs. If You play at multiple tables at the same time then it is vital to You that You can freely resize and move tables on Your Desktop. Not all poker rooms support this. A great software for this is Full Tilt Poker where You can even store multiple layouts for different numbers of open tables and easily switch between them while playing.
The reputation of the room. Check out the website of the poker room. Are their games monitored by a third party to ensure that the games are fair and the random number generator used to shuffle the cards is truly random? Which authority or legislation is the poker room regulated by ? You will want to avoid offshore sites that are barely regulated by anyone at all. Have there been payment issues in the past?
Good customer support is also a must have for a good online poker room. If You send them an email You can expect them to get back to You within 24 hours. At least during weekdays. In my experience the customer support is usually a good way to measure how long it will take for Your payouts to be handled. If a simple email takes them more than a day, then You will probably have to wait even longer when requesting a cashout.
The quantity of the games offered is important too. Not everyone likes to play No Limit Hold’Em all day long and good poker rooms will offer You many more games like Omaha, Stud or Draw Poker Games.
The quantity of players online is also important, especially for people who prefer the not so popular varieties of poker. It’s of no use to You when the poker room offers Omaha games, but it takes hours before a table is filled because there are few opponents.
The quality of Your opponents is vital to You of course. Rooms with many weak players will give You more profit, but unless You have access to poker databases ( there are some available online, but usually You will have to pay to use them ) it will be hard to know in advance. On the other site rooms with many good players enable You to learn from them and become a superb player Yourself faster.

There are a huge number of online poker rooms and it is getting quite difficult to make a good choice between the many available.
To be on the top of the rankings on the list of online poker rooms, you need to make sure the users get what they want and also make sure they feel secure. Being flexible adds to the advantage. Out of around thirty nine online poker rooms, PokerListings.com which is an independent website has been ranked as the best party poker.
The highest rating has been got by party poker with a rating of 8.20. They boast of the world’s greatest traffic in their ring games. Online poker rooms which are considered to be one of the best ones do give perks to their members. A loyalty program, loose games and WSOP promotions are a part of this. Loyal users can also make use of the membership referral scheme and the special events that are conducted.
Interesting features like getting free backdoor money of about $5000 for the users who are new, the largest poker rooms online, reload bonuses for online players, software that helps support side bets, games like black jack and also deal making is possible. You may also win a chance to join one of the poker room online tournaments.
In 2003, party poker was made the biggest site for ring game traffic. By making their market go on aggressively, the room traffic has been increasing every month.
A good variety of games is necessary for an online poker room. Party poker has hosted games such as Omaha, Holdem and seven card stud in both hi-lo and high. Though the best poker rooms have a huge number of players, games such as draw poker, heads-up matches and crazy pineapple are not to be seen.
Juicy and loose games also help poker rooms maintain its standards as they do cater to the beginners and also those people who are looking out for some action. You can find soft poker games for about five to ten dollars in a fixed limit and about two to four in no limit.
The loyalty program is what makes party poker the best site according to the PokerListings.com for the best poker rooms online. You can make $100 with the redeposit promotion and also with player points.
Since party poker has started, they have been making sure that telephone support is provided all day long. Making responses in less than a minute is what they have made it come to. Matters regarding payments, procedures and promotions are made clear over the phone. Email services are also being provided.
Quality graphics also add to the list of things that a poker room needs to have. Many say that this can be improved to a better extent. But when it comes to the view point of a practical player it is said to be good enough. Bandwidth has been a major problem to many of the players who are in the middle of a game.
Increasing the chances of making money is what party poker has done to improve its rankings. Graphics here are pretty good though they may be needed to keep updating it once in a while.
Financial security is what most players are looking for in an online poker room. This is where party poker has scored most of its points. Hence it has the title of the best online poker room.

Bangkok is popularly known as being one of the most liberal cities in Asia; therefore it is no surprise that one of the region’s largest *** pride events is being held here. The *** Pride event has grown since its inception and has moved away from the stereotypical ‘parade’ and more towards a week-long cultural festival. Despite this paradigm shift, organizers have ensured that the fun remains intact and the Bangkok Pride Week ends with a colourful & glamorous *** Pride Parade that winds it way around the city streets accompanied by much fanfare and loud music.
This celebration of Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual and transgender identity encompasses a wide range of activities that include art exhibitions, film festivals and sporting events culminating with a Pride in the Park party and a glitzy parade. These events are held at a variety of diverse locations in Bangkok and range from self-expression seminars, cultural dialogues to relaxed social gatherings.
An important segment of the Bangkok Pride Week is the presentation of the Utopia awards, which recognizes path breakers in the field of LGBT upliftment and recognizes men and women who have pioneered *** and Lesbianism in South East Asia. Several sporting events that include volleyball, biking, bowling and badminton are also worked off.
Away from the serious side of this festival, numerous parties are hosted in Bangkok’s Silom Soi district through out the Pride Week. Undoubtedly the highlight of the festival is the Pride in Park Party which is held at the historic Limphini Park. The end of Bangkok Pride Week is marked by the colourful street parade which should not be missed, especially the **** Swimsuit Competition.
Located within close proximity of the Bangkok Pride Week events is a Bangkok serviced apartment. This Bangkok apartment also offers great access to the city’s popular shopping and party districts.
Thoughts And Tips On Transportation In Bangkok

The most efficient and reliable way of reaching your destination is by bus. Buses arrive at set times and can be flagged down at almost place on the side of the road as long as it is on their route. The general cost of bus fare depends on where you are going. The minimal cost on an air conditioned bus is 7 Baht while the cost on non air conditioned buses can be less. Buses are not always known to arrive on time and sometimes don’t arrive at all but trust that they are the most reliable source of transportation.
Coming in at a close second best is the ever present taxi. A taxi fare can be debated between you and the driver if your Thai is decent but drivers are not always true to their word. The easiest thing to do is go by the taxi meter and hope that you don’t get stuck in a traffic jam.
Taxi meters start at 35 Baht and will not go up until 2 kilometers has been surpassed. The meter rises in increments of 2 Baht and has the option changing the increment so make sure the driver doesn’t play around with the radio too often. Be mindful also of the route that you take. Try to get a rough estimate from others on how much the fare should cost before you get in so you don’t get taken for a longer ride than necessary. Taxi drivers are not all dishonest and some pink taxis actually sport a sticker on their windows that says “I (heart) Farang” which translates to “I love Foreigners”.
If you can’t find any other transportation to take you directly to your destination you can take a series of Tuk-Tuk’s for 5 Baht a ride regardless of where you get on or off. The front of the Tuk-Tuk consists of the front cab of a low ride pickup and the back half is an empty box with no doors, windows or walls containing a slim bench on all four sides for passengers to sit on and a small space for people to get off.
Space is minimal and most people don’t choose this as an option because you are not protected from the pollution on the roads or the weather or puddles. Sometimes, during the rainy season especially, Tuk-Tuk’s will pull a piece of plastic around the “walls’ to save you from the splashes. Mostly in the rainy season you won’t be able to find a Tuk-Tuk, nor will you want to, because the roads become flooded with the heavy rains making transportation next to impossible.

How You Can Play Poker Today and Win

Play poker today and win! At first, the phrase may seem contradictory, for not many people say that the game is easy to win in. Aside from being a card game that like most other card games, has some variables that one simply cannot control, it has to be played with other people, and therefore can get very competitive. In order to emerge as a victor in a game, a player must have a hand with the highest value, based on a set of hand rankings.
If you’re planning to play poker today and win, the first thing you must do is, of course, be familiar with the rules. Also, it is important to know what kind of poker game you are playing. Poker isn’t just poker to everyone — there are many variations, because in various areas of the world, different rules have been developed over time. Examples of some variations are as follows: straight, stud, draw and community. “Straight” is when a complete hand is given to each player, and players make their bets in one round. In stud, cards are dealt in a prearranged combination of face-down and face-up “streets”. Betting is done after each round. Draw is where each player gets a complete hand, face-down, and players may change their hand by discarding and getting new cards. Lastly, community is a variation of stud, with “community” cards staying at the center of the table and can be used by anyone.
There are different ways to play poker today and win, because it depends on the player to decide what he or she may define as winning. One can win a round of poker and be content with that, while hard-edged gamblers may only consider themselves winners if they accumulate the most money at the end of one night. The number of poker games that can be played during one sit-down or meeting is unlimited. Therefore, you can play poker today and win one game, or a thousand, depending on how many rounds your group decides to have.
In order to win a game of poker, one must employ various strategies that will hopefully mislead the other players and clear your own pathway to victory. One popular concept concerning the game is bluffing. Bluffing is a commonly used term that means raising a weak hand to get all other players to fold. To fold is to throw away your hand and surrender all claim to a current pot. Players usually do this when they are afraid of losing especially after having a bet a significant amount of money. Bluffing is done to fool other players, but you can also call someone’s bluff. Poker involves a lot of deception on everyone’s part, and in order to win, you have to know your fellow competitors well.
Now that you know a bit more about the game, you can go play poker today and win. You will be surprised to see that a little information and a few tips can help you a lot in the long run, in your quest to become a great poker player.
Bangkok’s Most Exclusive Sports Club

Though Thailand was never colonized by the British, social and sports clubs such as the highly exclusive Royal Bangkok Sports Club has been playing the Gentleman’s Game-Cricket along with various other popular British sports such as golf, tennis, polo and squash for nearly a century now. The history of the club goes back further than a century to the reign of King Rama V; in 1901 the club was first established following a Royal decree by King Chulalongkorn.
The first sport to be introduced at the club was horse racing in the year 1903, during this period the club was often frequented by members of the Thai royal family, foreign diplomats, wealthy businessman and visiting celebrities. In 1904 the grounds were earmarked for a major development program that saw the introduction of a number of sports such as cricket, rugby and golf. Most of the participants at these games were either foreigners who were in Thailand for mercantile activities or children of wealthy Thais who had been afforded education in Britain.
The rapid development of this sports club was mainly attributed to its patronage by the Royal family. Another important historical mile stone for the club was in 1911 when the first ever plane to be seen in Thailand took off from the club’s grounds for a demonstration flight. During the next century or so the club showed a healthy growth in membership as well as its infrastructure. Today a numerous sports are played here, among the most popular being Cricket, Soccer, Golf, Squash, Tennis, Horse Racing, Swimming, Polo, Rugby and Hockey.
Due the club’s exclusivity it has also been a popular venue for high end social functions and also as a place for top corporate executives to chill out after a hard day’s work. The annual Horse Racing derby held here also draws in the wealthy socialites and who’s who of the Thai upper echelons. Located close to the Royal Bangkok Sports Club is a Bangkok serviced apartment known as the Ascott Bangkok Sathorn which provides luxury accommodation for long stay business travelers.

Buying Food at the Market and Other Daily Savings Tips for Travelers
April 22, 2009 by bkkpkerplayer

You’ve got to eat while traveling and most tourists will tell you that the best part of the whole trip is experiencing the food while in foreign places. If you are a fussy eater or have special dietary needs, you can still be accommodated while traveling, just plan ahead.
What better way to immerse yourself in the local culture than by visiting the local markets. Not only will you get to see and try the local cuisine, but you’ll probably save a lot of money. Eating in restaurants, especially those geared towards the tourist trade, can get very expensive. Try buying your food fresh from the markets and preparing it yourself. Or buy already prepared food from the market vendor.
In Bangkok you can visit the floating markets and buy anything from fresh fruit and vegetables, to ready prepared noodle soup. In Jerusalem the outdoor market or ‘shuk’ not only sells fruits and vegetables, but meat, poultry, fish, bread, nuts, cheese, spices and so on. As in most markets, you have to bargain at a shuk to get a good deal as prices vary markedly. African markets sell souvenirs as well as food.
Bargaining is welcomed at most markets, especially for keepsakes. Knowing how to bargain will save any traveler money. Here are a few points to follow when attempting to bargain for an item:
1. Always be polite and enjoy the experience
2. Ask for the price and then halve it. Start your bargaining at that number.
3. If the price is too high, walk away. You’ll be surprised how quickly the price comes down when you are disinterested!
4. Work out how much you are paying for in your own currency. Don’t haggle over a couple of cents. Remember this is how the market vendors make a living.
5. Don’t pay more than your think the item is worth.
6. You can also barter in some places. Brand name items (jeans, hats, shoes) are sought after items in some countries so barter with what you can afford to part with.
Other tips for saving money on a daily basis include:
* Avoid tourist-type restaurants. Find out where the locals eat and you’ll usually find authentic (better) cuisine at a lower price.
* Take note of what the farmers in the area eat. It’ll be cheap and healthy.
* Always pack snacks and fruit when going on a day trip. You’ll save money when you don’t have to buy from the tourist stops and street vendors along the way.
* Pack a picnic and go exploring. Use produce from the local market. You’ll save a bundle and eat well.
* Shop where the locals shop, not where the tourists go.
* Book into hotels that have breakfast as part of the package.
* Avoid airport food as it is usually expensive and not particularly healthy.
* Always ask if there are any discount offers available. If you don’t ask you won’t know and you won’t save.
* Walk when you can. It’s cheaper and a good healthy alternative, as well as giving you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the culture of the country you are in.
* Avoid Laundromats. Wash your own clothes in the bathroom sink if you are able.
* Look for free entertainment.
