Tired of playing poker on the computer? Tired of driving hours to get to a casino? Tired of waiting for a seat at a table? These are some common boredom of all poker players. The solution is to host a poker game. Invite your friends, poker buddies, and anyone you know who is interested in playing some poker.
A poker game in the comfort of your own home, with your own friends is a perfect way to have fun and winning cash playing poker at the same time. How to host the perfect home poker game? Follow the tips ahead.
* Buy all the necessary items: No home poker game is complete without the necessary equipment. Buy the following items if you want to create the perfect game.
1. Poker Table: The dining table and poker table are very different, and the feeling of sitting on a poker table is very different. I recommend that you have a 10 seat poker table and 10 comfortable chairs. Since this article is about making the perfect game, you cannot avoid the expenses involved in doing all this. A perfect add-on feature for the poker table would be a cup holder.
2. Poker Chips: Get the top notch clay poker chips at the local gambling store or order online. Poker chips are absolutely necessary and high quality ones will make the game more fun.
3. Food/drinks: Most poker players like to drink beer or soft drinks. Find out what your friends like and buy drinks for everyone, and keep them refrigerated for at least a few hours. Chilled beers and potato chips are one of the best combinations you can have.
4. Playing Cards: Here is an obvious one, but many times people lose one or two of the cards which just ruins the whole poker game. So make sure you buy more than one pack of playing cards and buy the high quality plastic cards.
Once you have all of these items, the next step is to invite poker players. Avoid inviting more people than you can handle and avoid inviting strangers. Tell them that smoking won’t be allowed; after all it is your house and there is a fire alarm which you are not going to like the sound of, and a hefty fine which you wouldn’t want to pay.
After the all the above steps are complete, the next step is to accommodate to everyone’s needs. You will need a music player, T.V. and/or a video game console. This is for the people who get out early in the tournament. No one likes to get bored, so make sure you have all the entertainment ready to make them stay for another game.
At this point you can start the tournament. Make sure you know the appropriate blind structures or for a cash game, the appropriate amounts of blinds; don’t make them too high or you will scare away everyone.
I have been to many home poker games, and they are all superb with the slow music in the background and entertainment sources after I get out of the game. So follow all the tips and have a good time at your perfect poker game!
Best free online card games – Part 1

One of my favorite past times is playing cards. In these days and times, it can be difficult to get people together to be able to play cards. The world has become fast paced. I have learned to use the Internet to be able to get my card “fix”.
I will compile a list of the web-sites I visit to play cards. Some of these games are against the computer, but the majority are against other players across the world. These sites usually allow you to chat with these other players too.
I have always had a gambler side to me. I love to play poker and blackjack. There are very many web-sites that have poker. On the sites that allow you to gamble, most have free-play also. I frequent some of those sites. Two of those sites that have free and pay play are Poker Stars.com and Bo dog.com. They have all the poker games from Texas hold-em to Omaha hi-lo. I also have another poker site I visit that has a twist. It is completely free and you can build your chips to buy a house. You can also play the stock market, have a bank account, and many other additives besides poker. That web-site is: http://pokerrpg.com/
If poker isn’t your cup of tea, I also have another site that has many card games, board games, puzzles, etc…I have played such games as hearts, solitaire, mah jong, and yahtzee. Of course you must register with a valid e-mail address, but the games are completely free. That web-site is: http://www.us.zylom.com/
At all of these sites you can play for money too. Please be very careful if you do. Take it from someone who knows, gambling doesn’t pay. Very few people come out ahead by gambling. If you feel you want to try that side of the card world, please visit this web-site first; it could help you a lot: http://www.pokerstrategy.com/#
Well, it’s Saturday night and no one is home. There is nothing to do. Just sign on to your Internet and play cards with the thousands of other people out there wanting to do the same. They are lonely too. Have a good chat, make some new friends, and play cards. Remember though, have fun but play in a responsible way.
I think I will run along now and go play some free poker with the fellas at this new web-site I just found; it is: PurePlay.com.
